Some minor tweaks to our EPGP system will be occuring on August 10, 2010, that gives everyone 2 weeks of raiding to plan and adjust to the new system. Until that time, no changes will occur!


The following was voted for and passed by your officers after private discussion with no negative votes.

Seeing no objections I'd like to propose the following to balance out the system volatility and reduce the major flops we've been seeing as a direct result of decays. Decays are meant to stablize the 'hording' , but as of late it's had an opposite effect due to the low amount of gear need from some individuals. It is our duty to recognize these problems and adapt the system, regardless if we as officers tend to fall into the 'geared' category that this change will likely negatively affect. (Mind you, this change will positively affect the guild 'balance in gearing'!)


1) GS floor lowered to 750
2) Decay reduced to 10%
3) 3 Day Attendance awards reduced to 1500 (down from 3000)



I'd like to make this change as of August 10. This gives people 2 weeks to spend their EPGP if they please with appropriate notice.

What this means:

GS floor reduced to 750 , with weekly decays, GP's are lowering below 1250 as people need less and less gear, this makes it unfair as people who 'are' geared end up 'accidentally' hordeing their points because they have nothing to spend it on, or only need 'certain' major pieces. This discourages minor upgrades and goes against the purpose of the decay and loot system.

Decay reduced to 10%, with the floor lowering the decay will lower to also adjust for lesser 'incoming' points; this prevents the GP from decaying faster than the EP and changes the system so we see less "moved from 20th to 3rd in a decay".

Attendance bonus reduced, as attendance is no longer a major problem- the reward should be reduced to compensate for the lower decay.

*10% decay will be re-evaluated in 2 weeks from the change to see how the changes affect EP.

Weekly attendance bonus and the last 15% decay has occurred.

Numbers are accurate for Tuesday raid start.

Question.... Do you get the 3 day attendance bonus if you were on at 7:28 but group was full, And were on standby all night?

Yes, the attendance bonus counts if you were in any raid at any point during the night, or if you were on standby.


* there was a problem with your alt getting credit for a night; I'm merging the EP on your alt to your main and giving you the decayed +1350 bonus.

(-10% because it occurs after the decay, the rest went before)


In the future, make sure you set your bidder main to Mahirne when you go standby on an alt; you can do this within the right-click menu.
